Pep Rally

We took the girls to their first Razorback event Friday night--a family pep rally at the mall which included the pom squad, cheerleaders, band, players, & coaches. Of course the girls were excited to get dressed up in their cheerleader uniforms.

Geneva calling the Hogs
Notice the bows, they didn't even make it to the car.
Poor Lexa got her first cold from daycare. She wasn't feeling 100% but was still cooperative & ready for the adventure.
Once we got there, we stood right on the aisle & had a great view. The pom squad came out with the band playing the fight song. The girls were so close & were amazed. I held Lexa because she wasn't quite sure about all the noise but Geneva jumped down and as she says "danced with the Razorbacks". The second song was "Hey Baby". The cheerleaders grabbed both girls and danced with them on stage!

And Lexa getting passed around.

Afterwards the girls were introduced to the mascots. Here is Lexa touching Big Red's snout.
And Geneva getting eye level with Sue E.
A high five for Sue E.

As radio announcer, Chuck Barrett was introducing Head Basketball Coach, Mike Anderson. Coach & his wife stood right next to me during most of the rally. When I saw them coming, I said to Lexa, "Here comes the coach." So when he came up Lexa said "Hi Coach." His wife died laughing! She thought Lexa was so cute.
Coach Anderson getting the crowd fired up.

Boss Hog. The girls were intrigued by our inflatable mascot, especially his tongue.
We had so much fun dancing & calling the Hogs. The girls cried on the way home because they didn't want to leave!
