Splash Water Park

Even though we had a birthday party a couple of weeks ago, I felt we needed to do something special for the girls' actual birthday, May 25th.  This was the first year I didn't have to work and could celebrate with Geneva & Lexa!  We decided to load up the van & have a fun-filled day at the splash water park, Build-a-Bear workshop, & of course Chick-fil-A!  Geneva LOVED the water park; Lexa wasn't so sure.  Geneva instantly found a friend, who was actually a 3-year identical twin.  Crazy!  After we changed into dry clothes we headed to Build-a-Bear.  Lexa picked out a puppy which she dressed in Hello Kitty clothes, rain boots, and named "Yellow" even though it has no hint of yellow.  Makes sense to me!  Geneva picked out a pink teddy bear, dressed it in a frilly tutu, sparkly shoes, and named it "Lovey."  They are attached to their bears!!  They undress them each night and tuck them into bed.  After naps we headed to SuSu's.  She took the girls to Barnes & Noble to pick out a new book & have a chocolate cupcake.  It was a fun day! 

Birthday Party!!!

Geneva & Lexa had their 3rd Birthday Party a little early, on May 12th.  We had such a time trying to schedule a May party around graduation, Mother's Day, Memorial Day, and their school carnival.  Even though it was forecasted for 70% of heavy rain, there was no rain & their outdoor party turned out perfect!  We had it at a local park and playground.  Patrick cooked hot dogs.  We had chips, fruit, and of course yummy cake as well.  The girls had a variety of friends from school, neighborhood friends, and family including cousins--all in all about 33 people.  We let the kids swing, slide, & run off energy for several hours!  Thanks for SuSu's help decorating & Amy's help as photographer.

Stephanie's Baby Shower

May has been full of parties!  I love it! Saturday was Stephanie's Baby Shower for baby Camryn Elizabeth.  I LOVE her nursery colors--teal & hot pink.  So cute together.  We had a good time at the Crumpet Tea Room.  The orange rolls did not disappoint.
